Dogami secures $7 million

Dogami, a Web3 game which lets players adopt and raise virtual dogs, raised $7 million in a seed extension round.

The fundraise was led by European venture capital firm XAnge. Other backers include Bpifrance, Blockchain Founders Fund and Wagram Capital, according to a statement from the company.

Earlier this year, Dogami raised $6 million in the seed round with backing from investors including Ubisoft, Animoca Brands, Tezos and GSR, and the new seed extension brings Dogami’s total funding to $14 million.

FTX’s founder Sam Bankman-Fried is arrested 

The Bahamas police have arrested Sam Bankman-Fried at the request of the US government and chances are that Washington will request his extradition.

On December 12, Sam Bankman-Fried, the founder of bankrupt crypto trading firm FTX, was arrested in the Bahamas after US prosecutors filed criminal charges against him. Bahamas Attorney General Ryan Pinder said that the United States was “likely to request his extradition.”

After FTX filed for bankruptcy on November 11, the former CEO of FTX posted a series of tweets about causes of the exchange’s collapse, then almost disappeared from social networks.

Binance withdrawals surge 

Binance, the world’s largest crypto exchange by trading volume, endured a wave of withdrawals on Monday amid concerns about its proof of reserve report.

Net outflows, the difference between the value of assets arriving and leaving the exchange, hit $902 million in the past 24 hours, according to data by blockchain intelligence platform Nansen.

Binance’s net outflow has surpassed those of all other centralized exchanges’ in the last 24 hours, and is almost nine times larger than the second largest outflow.
